Maybe they should have 2 cables and interconnect forums. A swap meet forum and a forum for those who are interested in more than low fi.

Yes, and then you could sit around and discuss such esoterica as audio pots that use carbon tracks and why they shouldn't be used in high-end audio equipment. Why not? According to the argument of one gentleman the use of this type of pot will lead to that ol' debbil grain in your music because...and this is the part that I treasure...carbon is a granular element.

You'll find yourself in fine company over there with the rest of the faith-healers and snake-handlers and you'll not have to worry about any unsightly rashes that may come from hanging about with those of us who form the great audio unwashed.

Just as in other forums boards, the naysayers always pick the most outlandish statements to classify all yaysayers.

Tough to find a forum where everyone agrees? Perhaps the discussions you seek can be found in at the cable store.

I don't get my cables from stores. I order bulk and make my own. So maybe you should go to Radio Shack and learn more from the guy behind the desk huh?

" I don't get my cables from stores. I order bulk and make my own."

That's very good for you.

"So maybe you should go to Radio Shack and learn more from the guy behind the desk huh?"

Why would I go behind the desk?

What you do behind the desk is your business, I won't intrude.

lol. Thanks.

Because I see no reason to go behind the desk [as a consumer] at Radio Shack, I was looking for some input. Why would someone think they are intruding if they have something to add to a forum? Maybe, because they don't agree on everything yet, but, that's debatable. Maybe they do, but then why have any forum at all? In any case, it doesn't seem to make sense to have two here, until the debate is conceded, and everyone agrees.

"still refuse to come eh? "

If I stayed I can say there would be plenty of refuse here, however your openning invitation offers positive results, as well as immediate gratification that is hard to refruit.

Yes, we're just plain evil that way. We should rightly ignore these types of statements in order to focus on...what material is best for suspending your cables off of the floor...cones that drain vibrational energy to a focus some point below the actual physical contact point and also block vibrations from returning to the equipment, mechanical diodes...power cords that perform miracles...interconnects that perform miracles...speaker cables that perform miracles...equipment racks that perform miracles...has anyone contacted the Catholic Church about this preponderance of miracles..someone should be up for beatification after all of this miraculous activity...or at least a special on FOX.

Man oh man, a person can't say anything here without raising questions, huh?

His suggestion was inflamatory, no?
Just anything...TinHere

I should have written "just anything". I can certainly see his suggestion inflamatory to low-fi swappers who want to maintain a status quo. I think thoughtful questions should be raised, as they are.

Well, one doesn't know automatically what his thought was behind his post. The question is appropriate to find out if he has different ideas and why. Cannot discuss without questions.

"I think thoughtful questions should be raised, as they are."

I guess it's tough for some to be questioned when they thought they had made themselves clear, and often take offense, which may further cloud reasoning and spur the arguement ad hominem.
