New digital coaxial?ELsmooth

A quick question for those who are interconnect savvy...I am currently using a RadioShack gold digital coaxial from my DVD player to my receiver for DD and DTS. I found the IXOS Silver Series 2M Crystal Connect for $17.50. How much of an "upgrade" would this purchase be, and would it be worthwhile for the sound difference?

First read this:

Now think about how much of an audible "upgrade" the brand X digital coaxial cable could possibly be.

There shouldn't be any difference between the two. Sound is traveling in digital form, so either the signal gets through or it doesn't. The only problem I could see happening is if your run was so long that the noise overcame the signal and your receiver couldn't pick it out. But there again it wouldn't degrade the signal, you just would get the signal at all. Besides, the cable would have to be so long it would be silly.

Using basic logic, an "upgrade" costs more, but something costing more is not necessarily an "upgrade".

Unless your RadioShack cable is either somehow damaged, or is a mile long, there will be no sound difference.
