Question for EyeSpyMwalsdor@cscc.edu
Nov 25, 2001 10:26 AM
Seeing that you're posting again, I have a sincere question regarding Nordost speaker cables you use. Rather than re-post, if you would just scrool down the page to my post; "Question for Nordost Red Dawn Users". I'm not sure if you are familiar with the Red Dawns but you do have the SPM's, perhaps there is some family signature that you may have reconzied? Anyway, I've only listened to the Red Dawns and only at one of my local buddies system, never in mine, so I'd appreciate any insight from a Nosdost user. If you wish you may contact me off-line, and all info will be held in confidence. Later Guy!

"perhaps there is some family signature that you may have reconzied?"

Are you referring to an audible signature here? If so, he has stated before there is no such signature.

I realized, but that is why I said "perhaps". Actually, I was speaking of the sonic artifact mentioned in my original post, that at this point I don't as yet attribute to the Red Dawns, but suspect. MikE

... but I'm comfortable accepting my preferences and ability to discern without an artificial qualifying standard. About the Red Dawns, my friend and myself have similiar systems (identical speakers, triode-based amps) so I'll have to drag those cables over some time and see if that artifact is in fact related to those cables. I'm about to take delivery on a custom amp, and embarking on a DIY speaker cable project with solid silver/cast copper so the trial with the Nordost will have to wait till everything stablizes and I have identifed the resultant system changes (lets hope enchancements). Thanks again.
