Looking For Banana To Spade Adapter:Doug C.
Nov 26, 2001 2:27 PM
I have a set of cables with banana connectors and would like to attach a spade to one end without having to remove the existing banana connector. Does anyone make a spade that a banana connector can simply be pluged into?

There are female bannana chassis mount connectors that have a tab on them that will accept up to a number 6 screw.

If that won't work, I supose you could make a short jumper with spades on them from the above females and be able to slip them on and off your bananna connectors whenever you needed to.

Beyond that scrounging around Allied Electronics or Newarks Electronics webstite should com up with something. I thought I had their links in my bookmarks, but they must be on my work computer. Google.com would be able to come up with them though.

You could also look around accersories for less. accessories4less.com

Pomona 1614. It's a spade lug with a banana jack receptacle. My catalog is sort of old, but they sold for $1.70 ea at the time.
