| from television dvd to computer cd-r? | Crow Jun 8, 2002 8:18 AM | | anyone knows a very easy but excellent way how to copy dvd's onto cd's which then can be viewed on dvd player?

Then you won't need to make illegal copies onto a lesser medium. |

| No. | Spiky Jun 14, 2002 6:38 AM | | Ok, fine. You will need:
DVD-ROM
VCD creation software
CD-R burner
LOTS of time
And, no, my other comment wasn't a joke. Why do you want to spend hours just to have a sabotaged version of a movie? Or are you planning to have 6-12 CDRs to store the whole movie? (DVD=4.7GB/layer; CDR=700MB/disc) I guess I'd just copy to VHS if you are desperate for extra copies or whatever. Looks about the same as VCD quality.
Typically we don't discuss piracy at this board. I suggest you find an appropriate board. People at the right place would be able to help you more, anyway. |
| Oh, television DVD.... | Spiky Jun 14, 2002 6:52 AM | | Well, in that case you will need:
DVDp
A/V capture board
Typical wires (red/white/yellow, MAYBE Svideo if the board can do that)
CD-R burner
VCD software
Even more time |
| Oh, television DVD.... | Crow Jun 17, 2002 12:20 AM | | Ok i think i understood the concept. Nevertheless it doesn't necessarily mean that by doing this you're talking just about piracy. You could be talking about backups of precious movies... |
| Oh, television DVD.... | Spiky Jun 17, 2002 6:48 AM | | Actually, Hollywood doesn't allow that from DVD. They're real bastards these days.
Have you seen the reports about the VP of Turner TV? He claims that PVR (Tivo, ReplayTV, etc) users are breaking the law if they don't watch commercials. Absolutely ridiculous what the studios and TV companies are trying to do these days. |
