| Need some assistance | Speekertech Jun 21, 2002 9:34 PM | | My current system:
A/V reciever-Outlaw Audio 1050
CD player-Pioneer pdr-w739
Speakers-Paradigm Monitor 9 v2
My question is, im on a tight budget, currently im using the everyday, came with the unit, rca cables. I was wondering what is a good brand of cables (Acustic Research, Radio Shack, Home Depot) would be best for my system. Any comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

If you can see a tv broadcast tower from your window, MIT's may be the best solution, or the cheapest. If you are miles and miles from the nearest RF source, skipping all shielding would likely be better for you.
There simply is not a universal best. And thats before you factor in audio preferences.
Deal with someone who will allow you to audition and return. Go with what sounds best to you. It's your rig and it's your ears |

Nothing wrong with them. Keep using it, unless they are defective and broken, of course. |

| Did your Outlaw Receiver... | Warren Warren Jun 24, 2002 12:26 PM | | ...come with Outlaw Cables? Outlaw makes some of the nicest cables I have seen, and very reasonably priced. Of course, Acoustic Research has pretty good cables too, but they have 2 different levels. I think they are both ok, but one is a little better construction and design than the other. Home Depot sells RCA brand, which is Recoton, the same as AR. I am not very happy with Rat Shack cables for a variety of reasons, and would recommend the others instead.
