| Component to s-video cable?? | ss4Ryu Jun 29, 2002 10:01 PM | | Does anyone know if it's possible to create a component to s-video cable and how to go about it????
Thanks tonnes. |

If composit, try www.partsexpress.com.
If "Component" I don't think you can do that. Some active electronics may be needed. |

So to go from component to S-video, you need to combine the Pr and Pb chrominance signals. I'm almost 100% certain that you would need some video circuitry to accomplish this, in other words, a black box with component video in and S-video out. |

Why do you want to do this? Hardly seems necessary as everything with component outputs should have Svideo, too. If your TV doesn't have component inputs, you won't gain any benefit from starting component and swithing to Svid outside of the source box. |

I assume your TV has no component video input.
I think you will never get anythink since once you combine the Cr and Cb the superiority will be gone.
