| Connecting DVD player w/ Composite only TV options? | rjhaudi Oct 29, 2003 8:41 AM | | I have a Sony DVD player w/ S-Video/Composite/Component outs, but my older Sony 27" TV only has composite jacks. Is my only option to buy a decent composite cable? I have seen composite/S-video converters and was wondering if that is a better option. Thanks in advance. |

Otherwise, you will have to be content with composite quality, because wires and converters will not help. |
| thanks..another ? | rjhaudi Oct 29, 2003 9:31 AM | | I just sold my newer 36" sony TV b/c of a recent move and the older 27" TV was my secondary set. I did have the better component cable set-up with the newer set and was just hoping that I didn't have to use the composite if there was another option. I have an Arcam receiver w/ S-video. Is there any advantage of running an S-video cable from the DVD to the Receiver and a composite to the TV or should I just run a decent composite straight from the TV to the DVD? |
