Monster and AR Cables?Stereobug

Hello everyone. I am barely educated in the realm of home entertainment and I would like to know if high cost cables are worth their value, like say a 8ft. digital optical cord for $199.99 from Monster is justifiable? As much advice as you could give I would be thankful for.

I'm sure anything can be justified. But will it actually work better than a $10.00 cable, probably not. No one has actually ever shown them to with real data.

As a matter of fact, Parts Express has a Dayton brand 12' optical cable for $9.50

Makes two-hundred smackers seem pretty crazy, huh.

No, it is not justified. :)
