| What about some of these | gle_helle Apr 12, 2001 8:02 AM | | Tommy Boy? |
| Well | Max Apr 12, 2001 8:14 AM | | I wanted to put down one comedy and that was the first that came to me. I do want to replace one of my picks with "Frequency" because that movie is definately in my top 10. |
| Tommy Boy | Daigoro Apr 12, 2001 8:21 AM | | LOL! One of my guilty pleasures too. "l-u-u-u-k-e I am your f-a-a-t-h-e-r..." :-)
Honestly though, I am very surprised by your list. I figured it would be composed entirely of glossy action flicks from the last 20 years. |
| Ha Ha | Max Apr 12, 2001 9:35 AM | | "Not so much here or here, but right here"
I'll take that as a complement. I'm sure you would agree that there is a differnce between GREAT movies and great movies on DVD. Any movie with honor gets me. I was also surprised by some of your picks. You actually had more action than me...ha ha. |

| Fast times at Ridgemont High... | Umrswimr Apr 12, 2001 2:08 PM | | I thought I'd died and gone to heaven... And I didn't understand how really important Office Space was until I started work here.
"PC Load Letter?! What the Fu@k is that supposed to mean?!" |
| "Is it about my flair?" (nt) | Daigoro Apr 12, 2001 7:37 PM | | |
| Comedies... | puffum Apr 12, 2001 8:47 AM | | Strange that we don't all have more comedies in our list (Mine had NONE!), especially when we all (you know you do) repeat lines from them all the time! If I like a comedy, I can never get tired of watching it and will laugh EVERY time, unlike some of my favorites that I can only sit through maybe 2 times a year. Maybe it's the short attention span thing or something, or just the fact that I know how all my favorites are going to end. It seems like I catch something new, or maybe something I have forgotten, every time I re-watch a comedy favorite. So here are a few more: The Big Lebowski Young Frankenstein Blazing Saddles The Holy Grail The Life Of Brian Stripes Caddyshack The list could go on forever.... |
| I like that list and would like to add | swervinman Apr 12, 2001 12:24 PM | | Easy Money to round it out. |
| Comedies.... | Umrswimr Apr 12, 2001 2:17 PM | | Some of these were listed...
Airplane "Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue"
Airplane II (the whole william Shatner idea was brilliant)
Tommy Boy
Billy Madison
Top Secret
Happy Gilmour "You're gonna die, clown!"
Office Space
Dr Strangelove
Austin Powers "Yeah baby, yeah...."
Southpark Hilarious- with a moral!
Naked Gun
Ace Ventura "That's none of your damn business, dan, and I'll thank you to stay out of my personal affairs" |
