Duel - Never knew movies without words aplenty could be this good
Thriller - 14 min music video, also a "mini-movie". wow! what dancing!
Goldfinger - the best bond in the best bond film

I wanted to put down one comedy and that was the first that came to me. I do want to replace one of my picks with "Frequency" because that movie is definately in my top 10.

LOL! One of my guilty pleasures too. "l-u-u-u-k-e I am your f-a-a-t-h-e-r..." :-)

Honestly though, I am very surprised by your list. I figured it would be composed entirely of glossy action flicks from the last 20 years.

"Not so much here or here, but right here"

I'll take that as a complement. I'm sure you would agree that there is a differnce between GREAT movies and great movies on DVD. Any movie with honor gets me. I was also surprised by some of your picks. You actually had more action than me...ha ha.

Comedies...puffum
Apr 12, 2001 8:47 AM
Strange that we don't all have more comedies in our list (Mine had NONE!), especially when we all (you know you do) repeat lines from them all the time! If I like a comedy, I can never get tired of watching it and will laugh EVERY time, unlike some of my favorites that I can only sit through maybe 2 times a year. Maybe it's the short attention span thing or something, or just the fact that I know how all my favorites are going to end. It seems like I catch something new, or maybe something I have forgotten, every time I re-watch a comedy favorite. So here are a few more:

The Big Lebowski
Young Frankenstein
Blazing Saddles
The Holy Grail
The Life Of Brian
Stripes
Caddyshack
The list could go on forever....
I like that list and would like to addswervinman

Dr Strangelove
Austin Powers "Yeah baby, yeah...."
Southpark Hilarious- with a moral!
Naked Gun
Ace Ventura "That's none of your damn business, dan, and I'll thank you to stay out of my personal affairs"
