Apr 25, 2001 5:33 AM | | Rented this DVD over the weekend and wanted to let you all know this was a solid movie. If you enjoyed "Waking Ned Devine" and "Brassed Off" this movie will appeal to you. Set in a small Irish fishing village, a woman's cheating husband kills himself leaving her with a mountain of death. Faced with losing everything, she goes along with her gardener's idea of raising money through cultivating marijuana. The movie is in the classic vein of the small isolated village versus the big city bureaucrats. Well acted and very funny - and some spectacular irish scenery - a good DVD choice. |
