| Just saw Memento | Daigoro Apr 29, 2001 8:25 PM | | I really enjoyed this movie. At first it seemed a bit disconcerting, but once I saw where it was going I became totally engrossing. Like the previous poster who reviewed this movie, I think the less said about the plot the better. It has a lot of similarities to Unbreakable, but is far more entertaining. It also has a truly great ending. |
| Hollowness describes it better. piece o crap. | Julian Apr 30, 2001 12:15 AM | | "I think the less said about the plot the better...."
there is no plot that's the point!
"It has a lot of similarities to Unbreakable...."

"but is far more entertaining"
ENTERTAINING?!!
"It also has a truly great ending"
It goes nowhere! there is no end or trick or nothing.

| Don't worry | Daigoro Apr 30, 2001 8:25 AM | | The Mummy 2 is coming soon. Maybe that will hold your attention better. Lots of shiny things in it I'll wager. |
| Hollowness describes it better. piece o crap. | jesse Apr 30, 2001 8:58 AM | | and you must be about 4. plot: it's about a man whose wife was supposidly raped and murderd and he's out to avenge her. meanwhile there are sub-plots involving drug dealers and femme fatales double crossing him. what do you call a plot? star wars? unbreakable was shit, this bears no similarity to unbreakable. if anything it is closer to fight club than anything else. why do films need to have a "trick" ending? where you reared on 80s slasher films where you need to see that final shock to get your jollies off? or do you just not know anything about real films--good films? |
