The 2-disc "Two Towers" set comes out in a couple of weeks. The 4-disc <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00009TB5G/ref=ilm_rc_485199/103-5865236-3713462">"Platinum" set</a> comes out in mid November. That's the one I plan on getting. I like the idea of the extra footage included, but I'm not interested in the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000A36J5/qid=1060571031/sr=1-3/ref=sr_1_3/103-5865236-3713462?v=glance&s=dvd">full-blown Platinum Special Extented Collector's version</a>, which also is being released mid November.

Sounds like will need wait for the 2-towers 4 disc set.
