Sep 19, 2003 11:37 AM | | I'm rarely able to go the theather or buy DVDs these days, so it's usually a few years before many "better" films finally get shown on regular TV. Thought some here might be unaware of this: I saw where Bravo is showing a half dozen fairly new & good (serious) films this weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun). Bravo is a free/basic-service station on my cable provider (I'm sure it isn't free on everyone's though). [I don't get ANY of the normal pay channels myself]. The films are -- Life Is Beautiful, Boys Don't Cry, The Red Violin, Pollock, Velvet Goldmine. They are repeated at different times... check your local listings. Gotta go set the VCR... |
