Been watching a lot of movies lately...

Another strong film. Based on a true story, the WAF is high as it is a culturally enriching film and tells the story of 3 aboriginal girls during the "stolen generations" years in Australia.

Acting, cinematography, story, and surprisingly, sound, are all excellent. Featurette about the casting is good, too.

I was told that this was as good or better than Whale Rider, but have not seen as yet.

Have a good one,
Mysterio

I have heard good things about this film, but my local Hollywood Video does not carry it. Have to venture to Blockbuster one of these days.

BTW, does anybody know where the word "aboriginal" comes from? I asked a friend of mine who had lived in Australia for a few years and she had no idea. Is the word a translation of the native language or just an ugly word the early settlers gave the natives?
