The problem with that method is that none of the posts will show up as 'read' if you ever come back to it. Now you are in a situation where it's difficult to remember what posts you have read and which ones you have not. Of course now you may miss a decent post -or- waste time re-reading something you've already read. You may have a photographic memory, I don't. Something to consider at least.

Well, I'm resonably sure you must have a setting for your browser that will mark or say "mark as read" or "high-lite read html tags"--probably in the options/drop down menu, under advanced--I don't imagine you have it turned on--such is the case with some e-mail programs, or if your running Outlook Express. I'm pretty sure Navigator is this way also. R.Z. |

Mar 24, 2001 10:04 AM | | I'm using AOL....had to go into Settings/Preferences/Internet Properties and change it there. It works (refreshing changes the color) but it's still an extra step compared to the way the old board worked. Oh well.....
