I would like to connect the new Denon DVD-2800 Progressive scan player to my HDTV via the AVR-5800's component jacks. I have noticed my owners manual makes no mention of wideband video component input/outputs (specs in my manual state video frequency response to 30MHZ), but on Denon's Web site, they have started to market the AVR-5800 with such capability (480p, 720p, 1080i with spec video freq response to 50MHZ). Does this mean Denon has silently "upgraded" this model? (If the answer is yes, it's no wonder some of us are getting this thing below $2900). |
