what DVD player has the best picture for $800 range???casey

I recently have been using a 3yr.old Toshiba SD-2100 and it was rated state of the art when I bought it. its has a very good picture but i wondering now 3 yrs. later is there anything new that blows away my Tosh. for around $800,00 anybody who has my model or has compared it to other please give me your feedback..Thanks Ken

What kind of TV do you have? I personally don't think it's worth upgrading at this point unless you can take advantage of a progressive scan player.

Hello:

With $800 U.S. I would hang in a little longer and buy one of these
new machines that plays all-DVD-A, DVD-V, CD'S & SACD'S. Pioneer,Sony,
Technics & Toshibas are all great products.

Best interlaced I have seen for that money is the Marantz 7000.
