Mar 25, 2001 10:55 AM | | I was watching Carrie II: The Rage. last night and lo and behold the little blue light on my reciever lit up(sony de owners know what i'm talking about) and sure enough it was decoding dolby digital 3/2 straight from my digital cable box. I was watching showtime but do any of you know of any other channel that brodcasts in 3/2? until last night i didnt' even know that was possible. |

Mar 25, 2001 10:13 PM | | I hooked it up using a digital audio coax cable, the one that looks like an RCA but has an impedence in the cable. My box doesn't have the six RCA output. so far showtime is the only channel it has happened on. |

All this time so many people were saying cable didn't have the bandwidth to broadcast 3/2 (which it may not if ALL channels were in that format) so it was quite a surprise to see my Yammie decoding yesterday.
Im on Time Warner, BTW.
