| JVC 32D302? | tony c May 15, 2001 5:40 PM | | I have been considering a 32" Wega (FS12) and came across the JVC the other day at a local showroom. The JVC seems to be a brand new model, no reviews inside available. Althought the JVC is not a flat screen, the price point is quite attractive ($599). Does anybody have any experience with this set? Does it have an enhanced mode for watching dvd?
Thanks in advance for any info |

| You are on the right track! | Smokey May 16, 2001 3:15 AM | | I am glad you are steering away from Sony's 32fs12 as it has many shortcomings. First of all it has only 3 months labor warranty and it is sufferung from quality control. One set differ in performance from another set with great degree.
Also Wega's tube is extremly susceptible to magnetic field around it, thus creating shadow color patches across the screen. The only good thing about this TV is its flat tube and its vibrant colors. But this great feature is outweighted by so many other negative points including its high price, that make considering this Tv a big gamble.
JVC Tv are on the other hand are reasonably reliable and have one year labor warranty. The picture tube is not flat, but it is flatter than other 32 inch TVs in its price range. It also recieved a great review from CosumerReport and consumers alike.
Althouth the above reveiw is for 32D201 model, I think it will hold true for 32D302, as manufactures rarly change the basic structure of circuitry and picture tubes from one model to the next. They just enhance the TV, ie, better sound or better comb filter.
Take care |
