New HT SystemMikeS

I have just acquired wholesale from a client the following:

32" Wega
Denon 1801
Energy XL-16 fronts
Energy XL-C
Energy ES-10 Subwoofer
I am using my old speakers for surround for now. I have several questions:

1) Is this a good system?
2) Will this overpower my very tiny apartment? The room is about 11' x 15'
3) Because of the shape of my room, chairs are oddly placed--the sofa is against a side wall, not facing the TV. Will it be difficult to balance? Is it possible to sit too close to a surround? I am not an audiophile but would like to get the most out of my new equipment.

Thanks.

1. Yes system looks very good.
2.No, it won't overpower your appt, unless you turn the volume up full throttle, you will be fine.
3.For balancing, get yourself a Radio Shack sound level meter, get the analog version. It's 35 dollars, and is well worth the money. It will allow you to accurately balance each individual speaker, so they're output is equal. No, sitting closer to 1 speaker will not be a problem, this is where the meter comes into play, just use it and make the adjustments from your listening position.

Good luck
