Speakers Setup with the Denon 3801BHAWES
May 17, 2001 8:57 AM
I have pardigm reference speakers. I wanted to know if this is a good
setup with the denon 3801. I have the studio 20 as mains setup in home
entertainment center. Studio CC on top of Bigscreen. And I have in ceiling speakers as my Rear Left/Right Channels. I also have about foot back between Rear Left/Right Speakers two rear center Speakers that are also the same tpye of in ceiling speaker as the rear
Left/Right speakers. If I not using the two rear centers I have a 5.1
system instead of a 7.1 system. I was told that my system will a 6.1
DVD as having the two rear centers in mono. I was also told that 2
rear mono speakers is the same as 1 stereo speakers.

Thanks alot for input.

Sounds like a great setup! What are you using for a sub? I believe in a 6.1 DVD, you will get the same sound from both center surround speakers, though I'm not sure, other 3801 owners hopefully can givwe more input here (I only have the 2801). Don't really know what '2 rear mono speakers is the same as 1 stereo speaker' means, but I think it simply means that both the center surrounds will produce the same sound when being fed a 6.1 signal.
