May 17, 2001 9:14 PM | | I'm wanting to get a 7.1 speaker setup for my large rec-room. I have the Denon 3801 receiver. From what I've read Definitive's and the Denon don't match real well. It seems the Denon and the Paradigms match well and I'm considering the monitor 11's, cc370, adp370, titans and pw220. However, since I'm going to be 90/10 HT/music, I've been looking into the Atantic Technolgy 370thx system with four rear dipole
surrounds. My questions are as follows: are the Atlantic's good speakers? And in particular, is the 370thx system (with 15", 275w sub) worth it? The whole system with stands can be had for about $3500. Any help from any of you guys who have much more home theater/music experience than I do would be greatly appreciated. I'm just getting started in this. Thanks, Kevin. |

The tv takes up 4 1/2 feet leaving me with less than four feet between the tv and aeach side wall. My audio will be to one side taking up 2 feet of space, so on one side I'll have about 1 1/2 feet of speaker space left. I'm interested in the 2002tl's. Do you think there is ample space for these to perform well? Do you think they should be close to the tv or up close to the side walls? And which way should I face the subwoofer? Perhaps maybe I should go with what what BK had, something like the bp10 or 30's with a separate sub? You know, I do have a friend who owns the 2000tl's like you do. Maybe I should ask him if I could preview them in my setup? Thanks Kevin. |

I would check out the Definitive's before buying that Atlantic Tech.....
