You could do a lot worse than the mission 77C1 centre channel, available on Ubid.com at around $80-100 if your lucky. This is a $400 speaker. Check the audioreview.com reviews if you need convincing. Link below...

| Mission 77C1 | mrmurdstone May 24, 2001 11:33 AM | | You might want to watch out for the Mission Centers they are selling on Ubid. Though I have not ordered one from them, I have seen the descriptions on their site. I think they are selling the 77c's and not the 77c1's.
The difference between the Mission 77c and c1 is that the 77c has a passive resonator and active bass while the 77c1 has two active bass units.
While the 77c has received great reviews, the 77c1 is a step up and sounds better. It's just the obfuscation on Ubid that bothers me.
Also, if you look closely at their description verbiage, they say the speaker is a 77c2. There is no such animal. Read for yourself:

It gets great reviews here, and Stereophile's guide to HT gave it an 'A' rating in their recommended components issue, most other A rated speakers cost a heckuva lot more. |
| KLIPSCH with no second thoughts!!! | bigman May 18, 2001 8:39 PM | | Personally I would check ubid.com for the
klipsch KLFC7 . this is over a $600 speaker that has been going for around $265.
