Which channel is "right"???Marcus

Heres a kinda dumb question, but maybe you guys can set me straight. When I'm setting up my Dolby Digital 5.1 receiver. Which side do I put the right speaker on (and left speaker too)?
Should the right channel and right speaker be on my right hand side when I'm facing the receiver (as if I were watching TV in the middle of a 5.1 setup). Or should the right hand speaker and channel go on the rght hand side as if I were looking at the back of the receiver.
I'm having trouble wording this question (as you can tell) but hopefully you get my drift.

Yhanxs for yur help
Tom

The one on the right hand side will be the right channel.
