Denon AVR3300 fan = too noisy...help?Patrick Van Osta

I have a Denon AVR 3300 receiver, the performance of which I am very happy with, overall. However, every minute or so, the fan kicks in, and it is very noisy, providing an almost howling whistle, which is very audible in quiet passages.
Has anyone else had this experience? Are there aftermarket fans out there that are quieter? Any other fixes you can think of? Thanks.

The fan design on the AVR-3300 is one they used for that model only and then abandoned because of the problem you describe. Denon is fully aware of the problem and will fix it for free if it's under warranty. If it's not under warranty, the fan mod kit that Denon made available for this unit can be installed by any capable tech at a reasonable cost.
