| I own the Yamaha HTR-5280. It has 5 optical and 2 coaxial digital inputs plus 2 optical digital outputs. All of them are assignable. In fact I assigned one of the optical digital inputs to accept the digital out from my minidisk player. In addition to this flexibility, the HTR-5280 is a great receiver both for music and movies. It has more DSPs than I'll ever need and it is powerful and clean. Although I paid list price of $800 I am sure it can be had for under $600. |
