RCA or XLR for home theatre?BLT

Has any one tried rca and xlr interconnects for home theatre application and which did you think sounded the best?Thanks in advance for any replies

Xlr is your equipment is truly a balanced design. Otherwise there will be little difference if at all. You may even prefer the RCA depending upon your equipment.

Do you have a choice? Very little equipment comes with XLR; at least not home style equipment. If you've already picked out your equipment, and by sheer coincidence all of it offers a choice between XLR and RCA, then by all means use the XLR.

HOWEVER, I would not let the presence or absence of XLR be a factor in my decision of what to buy.

Thanks for the response.My preamp and amp have xlr connections but the rest of my equipment does not.
