And very nice setup you've got. Those horns sounded badass! I adjusted my treble a bit to get the Mirage's to sound just a tad brighter. Jammed to Motley Crue all day :)
Couple questions:
1) In order to move my sub, I'll need roughly 30' of RCA cable. Any problems with a length this long? The Shack's Gold Series good enough?
2) You're audio rack. Send me the link to where you got it? I need a 5 shelf one now (thanks to you). They have anything in black?
3) What other discs make good reference? I seriously don't want to buy the Haunting.

I had a nice visit as well. Glad the CD player is working out for you, mine is at the shipping and receiving room of my APT. SO i'll have to set it up today. I'll answer your questions 1 by 1:
1. 30' should be fine don't really see a reason it wouldn't be. Eyespy or mtry would be able to give you a more defintive answer. Radioshack would be totally fine.

But seriously about your long RCA cable run, you will get a better result by switching over to 30 feet of preassmeble RG-6 coaxial cable ( with two male F connector at each end) and then terminate each end with Female-F to RCA adapter( $2.99). Coax cable will provide you with better shielding and less attenuation as compare with regular RCA cables.

Otherwise I'd have stayed for more DVD-audio and prog. scan stuff. I did give him a parting "don't let them get to you" shot. Well, I also let slip that Terrence is an egghead and Smokey's name implies he's a crackhead :P
And he is actually as nice as he seems. Though he really needs to have Guiness in his fridge if he wants to make host of the year. |
