| Okay, mind change again... | Josh Studrawa Jul 5, 2001 11:45 AM | | after seeing/hearing Adam's setup, I'm starting to think about getting another pair of FRx-7's as my surrounds instead of the FRx-rears.
I've heard the opinions for direct vs. dipole/bipole in movies. And I imagine that direct is the only option for 5 ch stereo applications. But I'm looking to pay $500 vs. $350.
Any other opinions I may not have heard.
PS. Adam, you suck. I was fine til I stopped over at your condo. |
| Josh, good news as I have Adam's Power of..... | nick4433 Jul 5, 2001 12:41 PM | | Since Adam has given me his power of attorney, I can in essence sign off on anything he owns. So what was it that you needed? Why buy for full price when I can give you the stuff for maybe 35%? I will take cash, money orders,etc.(heh-heh) |

I'm with you there and the same goes (for me) for 5.1 concert DVD's, but that's dependant upon placement flexibility and considerable availability of sound room real estate. If you can't place the surround speakers somewhat behind you and at least 5 feet away, I've found that dipoles or bipoles suit me better due to their less beamy and localizable nature. Otherwise I prefer the coherence of monopoles for any type of five+ channel listening. |
