Titan AE prob??firecracker
Jul 5, 2001 3:30 PM
I have recently got my hands on a Denon AVR3801 and I love it! One problem though. I´ve tested serveral DVD:s with both DD and DTS (currently just 5.1) sound. The Gladiator sounds best so far. Today i were going to play Titan AE but i could not get the receiver to play it in DD as it should. I looked for a sound option on the DVD-disk but did not find any.

The receiver have had no problems playing the right format on any other disk i have tried. I´ve gone through the setting in the receiver several times but the screen just says Dolby Prologic as soon as i play Titan AE. If i play, for instance, the gladiator it changes to DD or DTS, due to the setting in the dvd-menu, as soon as the movie begins. This is VERY frustrating! Does anyone have the same problem or know what it might be?? Please drop me a line.

Thanx

That is where you will find the sound options under. Never had a problem with Titan AE on either of my receivers (Onkyo TX-DS595 and Yamaha RX-V496).

While Titan AE is playing use the DVD player remote control to adjust the audio track. By pusing the "audio" button on the remote you should be presented with a on screen menu that shows you the options that you can use for audio. What does the Titan AE box say for audio options?

I have tryed the audiobutton on the remot but it says you can´t do that while the disk is playing. The box says i should be in 5.1 dolby digital. It is SO wierd i can only play it in prologic, all my other disks work just fine.

Maby it plays in DD but it says prologic in the Denon screen??
