Jul 5, 2001 11:54 PM | | Hello, I just hooked up my first sub (sniff, sniff, what a sweet moment). It works great for DVD and CDs, but it doesn't seem to work at all when I watch DBS with Dolby Pro Logic. However, when I drop surround and go to another DSP mode it works. Am I doing something wrong?

Jul 6, 2001 7:46 AM | | I think so. I set it to 'Yes' and it works for DVD and CD, just not DPL. Is there a place where I set it up to work specifically for DPL? Once I set it to 'Yes' for Subwoofer last night it worked for everything but DPL.

Jul 6, 2001 11:07 AM | | Look for a sub settting that says +MAIN. A simple YES may mean that you have one there for a dedicated channel, but +MAIN usually means that the sub will do bass that usually goes to the mains in DPL.
What receiver is it btw? |

Jul 6, 2001 11:23 PM | | Well, I called Crutchfield (who I bought the sub from) and explained it to them. The problem was that I had my fronts set to LARGE. Once I changed them to SMALL, the Sub picks up in all DSP modes.
