Polk vs. B&W for HT?luigi11
Jul 6, 2001 12:20 PM
I currently have b&w cc6 & 602 for fronts and polk fx 500i for rears. I have sold the cc6 since I was not too impressed with it(not even with the LCR6). I'm thinking of selling the 602's and get a polk rt55i for the fronts and polk cs400i for the center, so I would get seamless sound from all five...would anyone agree? Or should I stick with b&w and build from there. (my budget constraints me from going further than the price range of the ones mentioned). I would really like to stick with the polks for rears(since they have switchable dipole/bipole). I would really like to hear from people who have tried both the polks and b&w. Thanks!!

I listened to both but when I heard the Polks it wasn't in optimum listening conditions. I almost bought the B&W's...until I heard the new Energy Veritas bookshelf speaks. Anyway, I like the B&W's better than Polk, but, if you like what you have who cares if they are different. I know alot of people who mix front and back brands and they are fine with it. If they don't please you the way you have them now then try both cuz your ears have to make the decision. By the way, if you decide to get rid of your B&W's keep my e mail cuz I might be interested in buying them.
