| budget receiver--sherwood rd-7106 or kenwood vr-507? | brett weir Aug 13, 2001 3:34 PM | | i can't decide which of these is the better product. i can get the sherwood rd-7106 for $217.99 shipped or the kenwood vr-507 for $255.99 shipped. both receivers have the features i'm looking for at this price point (ac3, dts, and circle surround). i'm leaning towards the sherwood; however, i understand that it has a quirk in which the digital signal unlocks momentarily when switching tracks on music cd's. is this a big problem? |

I noticed it right away when I put on my very first CD. You miss the first second of sound on each track when using the digital input. I returned it immediately. |
