Come on guys give me more than one opinion. Onkyo 596--HK 310--Denon 1802--?? Reliable is most important. Want good sound in HT or sterio.
Thanks
Try to see if you can get the Denon 2802 for $500Josh Studrawa

on the internet somewhere. I'd say with all of it's features, it'd be the best under $500.

The HK is ugly to me, sorry (I hate front inputs). Like a girl that may be great in bed, if she's not pretty, you don't want her hanging around longer than she has to.

Have you listened to any of them at all?

The Denon 2802 would be my first choice but finding one for even near 500 from an authorized dealer would be tough.
Women who are real good in bed get prettier and prettier.
Ahh, authorized you want?Josh Studrawa

Then you're going to have a tough go with it. The 1802 shold still be tops, but you may get a lot cheaper prices since Onkyo and HK have more online authorized dealers. Try 6thavenue.com for the 2802 though, they've been selling the 3802 for $799 it seems. They may have a deal on the 2802 and it looks like they are authorized.

Nope, get a good looking girl and train her :)

Unfortunately you can never train a receiver.
