| re: how many of you's got a computer hooded up to your H/T | musicalmoondog Aug 14, 2001 5:52 PM | | I'm running a Pentium 4 1.7 Ghz machine hooked up to a Harman Kardon AVR-510 via the Xitel DG-2 powering Ascend Acoustic speakers. I love it! Great system!!! |
| Yup Yup | TheDude Aug 15, 2001 4:00 PM | | I have got my aging Celeron 466 with 60gigs of MP3's and 20 gigs of DivX movies hooked up to my 32" Toshiba TV and Sony Prologic Amp with six speaker surround through an ATI 32mb Rage Fury graphics card. It's aiigt, but everything is about due for an upgrade (well, 'cept the TV). |
| tell me about the 510 | WildWest Aug 15, 2001 7:07 PM | | How exactly do you have it hooked up to your puter? The 510 has on board MP3 decoding. Are you taking advantage of that or are you just sending to that AVR an already decoded MP3 signal from a Windows player? |
| Sound blaster live | WildWest Aug 15, 2001 7:04 PM | | What type of Sound Blaster live might I ask? I have contacted them directly on this issue and according to them they don't have a single PCM coaxial output on any of their cards. Well that is if you are attempting to output the MP3 bitstream not already decoded by a Windows player. 10 speakers all the away around eh? That's different to say the least. |
