| Tower Speakers for surrounds? | Beancounter Oct 5, 2001 9:12 PM | | Do tower speakers make good rear surround speakers? I have recently upgraded my front speakers to PSB 5Ts from 4Ts.
I am not sure whether to sell the 4Ts or use them as surrounds. Putting costs aside, am I better off with a monitor speaker for the rears or are monitors the speaker of choice for rear surrounds mainly because they take up less room and cost less? |

One comment: the folks at hometheaterhifi.com recommend that one have all the same speakers less the center for DD, DTS, DVD-A, and SACD sound. The center should also be timbre matched. |
