| ProLogic II | bender Oct 6, 2001 2:09 PM | | I'm debating between a Denon 2801 and 2802. The main difference is ProLogic II (and an extra $80). I'll use the receiver more for music and watching TV than for DVDs. I've read mixed reviews on ProLogic II. Has anyone ever done a comparison of PLI and PLII sound? I don't want to waste $80 if it's not going to make that much of a difference. Any personal experiences with PLII or Denon would be appreciated. |

However, what I can tell you is that I own the Denon 2802 and music sounds terrific. Like yourself, music listening consumes most of my receivers use, and the 2802 is an excellent choice for either music or movie viewing. I hope I am not being misinformative with my limited knowledge, but I do believe that with PLII you get surround sound stereo with all speakers, as opposed to mono rear sound with PLI. |
