Sound not working on Aiwa Mini-SystemJosh Studrawa

My 10 year old Aiwa 3-disc mini-system is having a problem. When turned on, I get sound during the 2 second "warm-up" phase (when the on light blinks and the amps warm-up I guess), then nothing after. Repeated (read: sometimes an hour) of turning it on and off will sometimes produce the desired result of sound after warm-up. I'm wondering if it's worth a repair or not. If it's something that can be fixed easily and cheaply (under $100), then I'd consider it. If not, then I'm just going to pitch the thing and clear some room out of my bedroom.

Sorry, if that's vague. Just ask and I'll try to be more specific. I'm not really sure what's going on.

Thanks.
so you dumped the miragesAdam

Simply disgusted at this shift from Denon/Mirage to an Aiwa mini-system. I wonder what drove you to do this. I mean you should at least have given some strong consideration to HTIBs. And no, it's not worth getting it repaired given at what they sell new.
Was that bderoom you say? Still....
