| FINALLY replaced Bose AM-6 with Def Tech 100's. Please Help ! | Kix Oct 8, 2001 11:55 AM | | I finally ditched my Bose AM-6 speakers for a DefTech ProCinema set-up. I have 4 ProMonitor 100's, a ProCenter 100, and a ProSub 100TL. I am looking for posters that have DefTech equipment and can help me with insight on the best set up for my system, i.e. whether high level or low level inputs are best. DefTech recommends high level connections through the sub and gives crossover and gain settings for starting purposes. With my Bose system I used the low level single LFE RCA input/output. Any advise/comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated from experienced DefTech owners. Thanks a bunch in advance. |

The biggest thing I can say about them is to use a good quality reciever! I almost replaced my speakers because I was very disappointed with the sound after I got them home and hooked them to my new JVC reciever. When I went back to the store, he demo'd them with an equivalent Sony and a lower powered Yamaha. Wow! I didn't have a speaker problem, I had a reciever problem! I'm now looking for a good deal on a Denon 2801/2802.
Good choice in speakers. Welcome home! |
