Question about Progressive scan DVD PlayersScoylesays

I have a 35 inch Sony KV-35S66 television. I don't know whether its interlaced or progressive...but I know it's not hdtv and I'd be using the S-Video input for when I get a dvd player. Now I hear that progressive scan dvd players have better resolution than interlaced players, but will my tv be able to reap the benefits of a progressive scan dvd player using my s-video input? Which kind of dvd player would look better on my tv, a progressive or interlaced?
Progressive scan output offers no advantage on your set (nt)googoo
