I need a 30 foot sub cable... do they exist?carp

I have a large room and live in an apartment, so the only way I can use my sub is to have it a long way from the receiver close to my couch. I know that monster makes a 24 foot cable, but that is not quite long enough.

You can special order a lot of cables from Monster. I needed a 65 foot S-Video Cable and a place in Jersey got it for me. The downside is that it takes 3 weeks. But hey I got my cable. If you want it the place has a site 6ave.com

Try bettercables.com. They make custom cables, good delivery for special lengths and have reasonable prices compared to Monster.

Try kustomkables.com or wickedcables.com.
They both do custom lengths and use Canare cables and connectors, which are fantastic quality. No question about it, your paying for quality cables and not advertising...

I don't have a subwoofer yet so I don't need a subcable or could tell you which type of Canare cable would be better to use...maybe someone else could help here. If you e-mail the two cable companies above I'm sure they'd be happy to tell you the differences.

But I do use the Canare digital coax cable and Canare component cables...simply awesome cables! (disclosure: I don't work for Canare, just a happy customer.)

Since LFE signals are such a low frequency, virtually any coaxial cable will do. The main thing you have to worry about is 60Hz interference from power lines but coaxial designs protect from this.

I have a 40 foot sub run using RG-59 coaxial CATV cable (use RG-6 if you wish) with F-type to RCA adapters found at Radio Shack. Total cost was $20.
Mike got the right idea. Get it locally.Smokey

Just replace the cable from link below to a 50 feet pre-assembled coax and you will be ready to rock.

This is the perfect excuse to approach a custom cable maker.
Besides the ones mentioned above you should check out Rhinocables.com or Diycables.com as they both offer a high performance sub cable. This cable is what I ended up with after going through numerous cables. I would not go with any old RG6 cable though as the make-up of the cable does make a difference to the sound.
FYI I believe Bettercables does or did use canare GS6 cable for their sub IC which is the same as what Wickedcable uses so go with whoever is cheaper.

How so? Especially at the low frequency. Please explain further.

mcmelectronics part #32-4560 is a 50' one for $4.25. They also sell a 25' one, but you say that isn't long enough.
