| deciding on speakers for HT... | Carthy Oct 5, 2001 4:06 PM | | Ok, I've got aprox $1000 to spend on speakers for a home theater setup I'm putting together. In addition to the usual, I'll be getting a pair of speakers to put in the kitchen next to the family room (to be routed through a speaker selector box). Heres what I was looking at getting, either:
Klipsch SF-1 (mains)
Klipsch SC-1 (center)
Pioneer S-H052S-K (surround)
Pioneer S-DS1-H (kitchen)
OR
JBL N38 (mains)
JBL N Center (center)
JBL N24 (surround)
JBL N26 (kitchen)
Which do you think would be better? If I got a mixed setup (klipsch/pioneer) am I going to have problems with the speakers matching in sound? Or, if you have any other ideas for the same price ($1000) let me know. The system will be used equally for DVD movies and music. |
