JBL has a smaller surround speaker that is used with the S310's that is a timbre match to the S310(a single or pair of S38's S38CH S38BE) will do nicely for that chore. It is suppose to be timbre matched to the S310's. Look into these, they're smaller, and might past the wife acceptance factor.(boy am I glad I don't have to deal with it)
