I wanted to consolidate my cd/dvd players (BTW, all dvd players play cd's), and am very happy. Optical & Coax Digital audio outs, component video out, etc. All the bells and whistles you need, for under $200. And maybe it's just me, but I think the cd's sound better than my replaced cd player.
