Magnetic field and Denon AVR3801??EricB

I have my AVR3801 placed about 50cm under my television. Sometimes when i switch it on and off i get wierd colors in one corner of my tv screen. Just like when you have a speaker that's not magnetic shielded. Is this normal? Is there any other way to solve this problem than moving my reciever further away? I have a panasonic pk32, 32 flat, widescreen.

Worried rookie.

I have a similar problem. I have a Denon 3802 (and a Yamaha 995 before) placed right next to my Sony Trinatron.I cannot get rid of this annoying flicker that appears on straight lines (vertical or horizontal), like window blinds or even the field lines of a football game. It also affects some graphics, like writing or lettering. My monitor is hooked up to a dvd player and a directv receiver, via Monster S-video. And since my monitor only has one S-video input , I use the 3802 as a switcher. I've tried different cables, no luck. What is my problem? Is it the proximity of the 3802 to the monitor, is something not grounded properly? HELP, I'm lost!
