How to select a 6.1 center surround speakerpxw03

I have a 5.1 set up composed by Paradigm speakers. I knew in 7.1 setting you need to add a pair of speakers. How about in 6.1 setting? Is it use one speaker or pair, since it is very difficult to buy just one speaker.

Some salesman suggest to buy another center speaker to use for center surround. Is it the right way to do? please help!

In a 6.1 setup you add a 6th speaker in the back between your rear surround. You could add a center channel in the back or look around at eBay for some single speakers.

dont use a center channel speaker. you want a seamless setup. whatever you areusing for your rears you should use for your 6th channel. in a perfect eorld we would have 7 IDENTICAL speakers so that the entire soudn field would be seamless.
