Denon 6.1 questionaroddy

I've been trying to decode the manual for my Denon 2802 receiver. What I can't figure out is what to set the SB CH Auto Flag Detect to, and if I set it, what do I choose: matrix, non-matrix, or off? Some newer DVDs have a DTS-ES 6.1 format, and I don't want to interfere with that, I just want the pure signal. Then on the 5.1 DVDs, I'd like some kind of combination of the rear speakers in the SB channel. Can anyone help? If you speak Denonese, please provide some response. Thanks.

one of the perks of the better receivers is the ability to set things up the way YOU like. play around with different settings, adjust delay times, matrix, non-matrix etc.. these things are there for your listening tastes

If this is anything like the 3802, then I'd suggest setting the SB CH Auto Flag Detect to "off."

Then, using your 5.1/6.1 button on the remote, you can toggle through the settings for the SB speaker of "Matrix, Non-Matrix and Off." Note that for DPL II you'll only get a choice of "Non-Matrix and Off," whereas you'll get the additional "Matrix" choice for DD 5.1 and DTS sources.
