Help! Problem with Denon (Loud Pop from one of the speakers)Rainman
Feb 24, 2002 3:21 PM
Hi guys,

I am currently bi-amping my Paradigm Studio 80 V2 with both Caver TFM 55X (driving low & mid frequency) and Denon AVR 4800(drive high frequency & use as pre-amp) Recently I started getting a loud Popping sound from one of the speakers whenever turn the volume to zero, turn off or change to TV function with the AVR 4800. I try to fix the problem by changing the interconnect around, but the Popping sound just goes from right speaker to left or back to the right again, whenever I change anything.

Can someone give me some wisdom here to save my speaker from certain doom?

Thanks in advance

Change the monitor out on your TV from "fixed" to "variable"

Thanks for your advise, but is not just changing to TV, baiscally is when ever mode changes - DVD, Stereo, 5:1, DTS, AUX, etc. Whenever the Denon changes mode of function or input, one of the speakers make the popping sound.

Appreciate some advise.

Best regards
