Monday February 25, 2002: 10 ThingsAdam
Feb 25, 2002 9:25 AM
10. I watched 2 movies forr the first time this weekend: Almost Famous and Requiem For A Dream. Almost Famous was enjoyable, but I'm glad I caught it on cable and didn't buy it. I didn't think it was anything near the greatness of Jerry Maguire or Fast Times At Ridgemount High. Requiem For A Dream I picked up for 9.44 + Tax and was just blown away and left very disturbed. Definitely a must see.
9. I caught a special showing of We Were Soldiers last week and was very impressed. Chris Kline wasn't nearly as bad as I though he'd be and Mel Gibson was very good. Overall a great flick.
8. Has James Horner ever done a musical score that wasn't good?
7. Roger Water is releasinga new album this fall and will be touring in Europe and Asia this Spring, Summer, and Fall. The tour is supposed to be very similar to his In The Flesh Concert. I might have to take a trip to England to see him.
6. My Tax return is supposed to arrive this week, I have already ear marked it for about 10 movies and an MP3 player. My thoughts of using it on tubes will have to wait till spring.
5. My Bulls scored Jalen Rose at the Trade Deadline and have won 3 in a row. Finally Jerry Krause makes a good move.
4. Queen of the Damned just looks like utter trash. I can't see it be anything remotely as good as Interview With The Vampire.
3. Why do I have a feeling that Aaliyah will get a grammy as a sympath/political correct vote even though others will be more deserving?
2. Since so many people ask what the best concert discs on DVD are, here is my list from Best to Worst: Roger Waters-In The Flesh, Peter Frampton-Live In Detroit, U2-Elevation Tour, Eagles-Hell Freezes Over DTS, James Taylor-Live At The Beacon Theater.
1. How long till the Canadian figure Skater: Jamie Sale, poses in Playboy, I means c'mon it's only natural progression: Katarina Witt, Tanya Harding, etc.

10. Didn't really like Almost famous. Liked Requiem for a dream
9. Why haven't I heard about this?
8. Never. And probably will never.
7. Like Roger Waters, But I'll wait until he comes to the states
6. Tax return, hahahahahahahahahahahahwaaaaaahahah
5. You guys needed the help.
4. It is utter trash. Saw it this weekend.
3. I don't think she will. But DAMN!!! she is fine though
2. I concur with this list in order
1. Why you dirty young man. I can't wait!!!

10. Wasn't crazy about AF either but I have to check out Requiem
9. Very anxious to see this one. Nice to see Mel doing some flicks again. Really looking forward to Signs
8. He does a good job but he can never come close to the guru JOHN WILLIAMS
7. No comment
6. Man mine is really delayed because of one previous employer’s F -up! DAAAAAAAAMN!
5. It was probably unintentional for Krause to actually make a good move. Anyone who can break up one of the leagues greatest teams and run Jordan out of a city should never be forgiven.
4. Looks like a big wad of cow dung
3. She probably will but I don’t mind...it's truly a tragedy what happened to her.
2. Agree with Eagles...haven't heard the rest
1. Playboy? Did my super vision see Playboy? Where? When? How? MUST .......SEE.......PLAYBOY

Really I am at that age where Playboy magazine doesn’t do anything for me except for the articles :)
If they pose for Penthouse or Hustler, then we may have something worth looking into (:oP)

What is this the top ten things of dribble that you can put out?

I hardly think that any of these have anything to do with this particular message forum amd should be posted in one of the other applicable forums. Appears that most of these are about music or films which I believe there are already forums for. As far as the other dribble how about the General Discussion?

Or are we starting a trend and everyone is going to post this dribble here and then everyone will get torked off. Come on moderator do your job and put your own messages where they belong in the message forums and not in this message forum.
But we want it here.......Terrible Terrence

Greg,
Why the objection? Adam has been doing this for about two months. Why would you object now? I hope this is not the same Greg that consistantly picks a fight with Adam. If you do not like Adams 10 things post, then DON'T read them, and certainly don't respond. Just ignore it. That is simple, and it doesn't cause trouble. It even saves your energy. What we don't need is anymore controversy. We have had enough lately. We enjoy Adams ten things and we like it posted here. It is just that simple. This is not new, it has been going on for a while. It is not a trend, because no one else is doing it. We do not want 10 things in the general area, nor the film area. This is the hometheater forums exclusive post and we like it that way. If you don't, then don't read it. Whatever you do, please be nice. I think many of us are tired of the trolling, and personal verbal bodyslams and just want to post answers or questions. Can you try and be part of the mix instead of part of the problem?

Terrence
But we want it here.......Greg
Feb 25, 2002 4:09 PM
That is ok if you want it but as I asked they should be in the correct forum.

Just a mouse click away to get into the correct forum.

I do not think that it is up to you where he posts his stuff. He should be monitoring himself and putting it in the correct message forms. That is why we have several.
Regardless.....Terrible Terrence

"I do not think that it is up to you where he posts his stuff."

Greg,
Lets flip the script a little. Apply that same logic to yourself. In other words, its not up to you to decide where he posts his stuff. And it is also not your business how Adam monitors himself. What is easy, and convient for you to do, is to mind your own business, and stay out of Adams. It gets really cramped when more than one person tries to mind someone else's business. It is also cumbersome to manage. We like the post HERE. It is none of your business whether it is the correct forum or not. It doesn't effect you, harm you, or kill you to just not read or respond. JUST DON'T READ IT OR RESPOND, it is just that simple. You mind yours, Adam will mind his.

I mean, well, geez I thought my post was about HT related stuff? I mean I taled about movies, concert DVD's, DVD's I just saw. I wasn't asking for help or anything, I just wanted to share...by golly I think I'm just going to have no other choice but to listen to greg's post, I mean after all his post was definitely about HT :)

along with the rest of the Vampire Chronicles are damn fine books. I consider the movie Interview with the Vampire a debacle, as would probably anyone who read the book, with Tom Cruise cast as Lestat.

Lestat is one of the more interesting characters you will find in literature. The books are so packed and the thoughts of the characters are such an integral part of the story that translating any of them into a movie is difficult.

Interview, the first of the series, is the slowest of the books, but worth starting with. The Vampire Lestat, the next book in series really picks up speed.

If intense reading interests you, I highly recommend the series. I actually yelled when I finished reading The Vampire Lestat, the only book ever that has elicited that sort of response.

Sorry for the book report, but the book has definitely got to be better than the movie.

you punk ass hooch. Kiss my red tights! We all like the top ten list just fine and see no problem with where it is being posted. Keep yer yapper shut before you get a serious verbal beat down. With how slow this board has been recently you are just asking to get plenty of negative feedback spewn at your sorry kiester.

No I can honestly say we are not the same person. However I am sure that he would ask the same to you.

Now as a moderator and I have asked that these messages not be posted in this forum and put into the correct forum what are you going to do about it?

If you simply ignore me as you have said then you are not taking your role as a moderator very seriously.
You're right Adam, it is bigzitsTerrible Terrence

"Now as a moderator and I have asked that these messages not be posted in this forum and put into the correct forum what are you going to do about it?"

YOU HAVE ASKED!!!! Who the hell are you??? You are not Adams boss. That means he has a right to ignore you, and still do his job. Man if you are not bigzits, then you have to be his twin brother. Both of you have more nerve than an elephant.

Please tone down the vulgar language. That is how your “terrible acceptance speech” got yanked. I am just trying to be fair here since no matter who uses the vulgar language-friend or a troll-they will get shut down.

Here is missile for you from battleship TTT (without Terrence permission) for your language :)

Hey Greg.....Greg
Feb 25, 2002 4:11 PM
As I have said before I have no problems with the post just post it in the correct forum. There are several others you know where this information belongs.

I seriously doubt if your verbal abuse would do anything to me. Just more dribble to read or maybe not.
Well, now look what you guys have donebeerme1

I see a couple of posts here where the poster is qouting a previous post of his own and referring to himself in the third person sense.
Quick hide, their coming. HIDE it's the internet forum police, their coming. AHhhhhh

p.s. i would rate Hell Freezes Over above In The Flesh. I like Roger Waters, a lot. I saw him way back in 85???? In Toronto at Maple Leaf Gardens for the Pro's And Con's Of Hitch Hiking tour and was awed. Definately one of my top 5 all time shows that I have seen. But Something to me is not right with this. Their is a lot of Floyd material on this, and that's a good thing :)
I don't think and I hope no one compares the guitarist to David Gilmour though.
.Adam I am glad you got to experience Final Cut. The sound of the bombs going one side to the other with volume at joyous levels, can really scare the hell out of people.. Including meself. hehe

I will check out RW-ITF, but you must check out "THE WHO" on DVD with "Special guest". It was made last year and is my top pick for concert disk!
